Home Care Services

The terms "home care" and "private duty" are, for practical purposes, the same. The term Aide, for our purposes here, could be a Companion, or someone with additional certifications, such as a CNA (certified nursing assistant).

When you hire an agency for a private duty assignment, be it for yourself or for someone else, you would be hiring an Aide who has been screened and vetted by the agency. We would tell you about the Aide and give you an opportunity to interview her if she sounds like someone you might like.

The agency's role is a supervisory one, ensuring that you are satisfied. Once the Aide arrives at your home, she would take her day-to-day instructions from you (or the family member who assists you).

The agency pays the Aide and all expenses related to the Aide. The agency then bills you periodically for the number of hours worked at the rate quoted you at the start.
